IPS is excited to welcome California Cat Kitchen to our growing frozen pet food lineup.

California Cat Kitchen is a new fresh frozen cat food brand created specifically around the nutritional needs and preferences of cats. The recipes are meat-forward, human-grade, lightly cooked, and formulated to provide complete and balanced nutrition for adult cats.

Unlike many fresh foods originally developed for dogs and later adapted for cats, California Cat Kitchen was built specifically for cats, with recipes centered around animal proteins and simple ingredients.

The line launches with two recipes, each offered in two different textures:

• Chicken & Salmon - Smooth
• Chicken & Salmon - Ground
• Beef & Pollock - Smooth
• Beef & Pollock - Ground

Offering both smooth and ground textures gives retailers another way to accommodate cats with different texture preferences, especially picky eaters.

California Cat Kitchen focuses on what cats naturally want to eat. The recipes contain no vegetables and use a meat-focused ingredient approach with whole-food ingredients and a simplified supplement blend. The food is lightly cooked, frozen for freshness, and ready for pet parents to thaw and serve.

Key selling points for your customers include:

• Human-grade ingredients
• High-meat, carnivore-focused recipes
• No vegetables
• Lightly cooked and frozen
• Complete and balanced for adult cats
• Two protein combinations
• Two texture options for picky cats
• Formulated by a PhD veterinary nutritionist

California Cat Kitchen is also the sister brand of California Dog Kitchen, bringing the same fresh-food philosophy into a category developed entirely around cats.

For independent pet retailers looking to expand their frozen cat food selection, California Cat Kitchen provides a differentiated option with strong consumer-friendly talking points and an easy four-SKU assortment.

California Cat Kitchen is available now at IPS.
